Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical support for computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop support, network connectivity (LAN), VPN access, firewalls, and IT infrastructure components.
- Manage computer systems using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira to document incidents, track resolutions, and escalate issues as needed.
- Assist users with software troubleshooting, operating system configurations, and hardware repairs or replacements.
- Support computer management tasks including software installations, updates, and hardware upgrades to optimize system performance.
- Configure and maintain network components such as LANs, switches, routers, and wireless access points to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Communicate clearly with end-users to diagnose problems effectively while delivering exceptional customer service in a help desk environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a focus on desktop support and technical troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Hands-on experience managing computer hardware components and troubleshooting software issues across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency with IT management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
