The primary purpose of the Laboratory Aide / Phlebotomist is the collection of blood specimens by venipuncture and/or skin puncture. He/she will also receive phone calls, call reports, deliver reports, and perform other non-technical duties under the close supervision of a Medical Technologist. Must have, or be eligible for state certification as a licensed Laboratory Assistant. All other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Training and certification as a Phlebotomist.
Licenses/Certificates: Current license as a Laboratory Assistant, or eligible and must obtain within 6 months from DOH. Must have a certification such as CPT from the ACPT, or an accredited training program, or a registry as PBT (ASCP, AMT), or equivalent.
**Pay range: $16 - $19.42 (depending on experience)**
