Job Title: Laboratory Assistant – Science

Job Summary

The Science Laboratory Assistant supports the effective functioning of the laboratory by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, assisting during practical sessions, and ensuring safety standards are followed. The role is essential in supporting students, teachers, and researchers in conducting experiments and scientific activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for experiments and practical classes
• Assist teachers, lecturers, or scientists during laboratory sessions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and biological materials
• Monitor laboratory inventory and report shortages or damaged equipment
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain laboratory records, logs, and experiment documentation
• Provide basic technical support to students during experiments

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field)
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety procedures
• Ability to handle laboratory equipment and chemicals responsibly
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting

Experience : 2-4yrs

• Prior experience in a school, college, or research laboratory is preferred
• Fresh graduates with relevant lab training may also apply

Working Conditions

• Work in laboratory environments
• May involve standing for long periods and handling chemicals or equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
