Lab Assistant Co-Op
Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Summer through Spring 2026 Lab Assistant Co-Op (full-time, 35-40 hours per week). This position is open to the University of North Texas students and will be located in Rolla, MO.
Summary:
Conducts laboratory analyses, experiments, and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Takes ownership of small development sub-projects as assigned.
- Designs and conducts experiments, including instrument operation, sample preparation, and performance characterization, under minimal supervision.
- Processes data and provides analysis summary and may present results at group meetings.
- Creates new testing processes and improves upon current processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of safety and housekeeping standards and practiced in daily activities.
- Learn and keep familiar with lab procedures.
- Responsible for communicating with supervisor and team members, also may be assigned to cross-functional teams.
Credentials and Education:
- Must be a student at Junior or higher class level seeking a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Students enrolled at the University of North Texas are preferred
- Graduate student in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Must have Chemistry Lab Experience or Wet Chemistry Skills
- Completed Analytical Chemistry course preferred.
