Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Review, complete, and verify all requisitions to ensure accuracy and completeness of demographic, patient, insurance, diagnostic, and other required information; maintain copies of completed requisitions.

Track and follow up on incomplete requisitions sent to the billing office to ensure timely completion and documentation.

Contact patients as needed to obtain missing forms or required information to complete records.

Copy and forward all payments and financial documentation—including EOBs, RAs, Medicare payments, checks, and credit card transactions—to the billing office in a timely manner.

Reconcile the hospital admission roster with UWL’s billing roster to ensure compliance with the 72‑hour rule.

Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory specimens, paperwork, and supplies between United WestLabs locations, clinics, and other designated locations in a timely and secure manner.
Verify specimen integrity and documentation accuracy prior to transport and upon delivery.
Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, HIPAA, and biohazard handling standards during all courier activities.
Follow established delivery routes and schedules while adapting to priority or stat requests as needed.
Maintain accurate courier logs, delivery records, and mileage documentation as required.
Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, medical offices, and leadership regarding delays, issues, or special handling requirements.
Represent United WestLabs in a professional and courteous manner while interacting with patients, providers, and external partners.
