Job Title: Lab Sales Director
Job Summary:
The Lab Sales Director will lead the sales strategy, operations, and business development for our laboratory distribution firm. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, establishing strong customer relationships, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of laboratory products and services, along with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for laboratory products and services.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to create actionable plans.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and target markets for laboratory products and services.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create promotional materials and go-to-market strategies.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze results, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Use data to inform decision-making and refine sales strategies.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve objectives.
- Track expenses and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and product management to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain to ensure timely product availability.
Qualifications:
-Education:
- PhD or MBA candidates preferred.
-Arabic speaker
Experience:
- Minimum of 12yrs+ experience in sales within the laboratory or life sciences industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of laboratory products, services, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment:
- Office-based with frequent travel to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct sales presentations.
- Some remote work may be possible, depending on company policy and individual circumstances.
