Lab Tech I

Provide support for both routine and non-routine daily laboratory operations. This role involves sample intake, maintaining the retention room, preparing the lab, and assisting with testing procedures. The Lab Tech I ensures all tasks are completed in compliance with established quality and safety standards. Candidates must be comfortable working with cannabis/hemp products in a chemical and biological laboratory environment.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday
Start Time: Between 4:00 AM – 5:30 AM

Lab Tech I Responsibilities:

• Provide general support to laboratory staff to help maintain efficient daily operations
• Assist with sample preparation for analysis
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
• Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment
• Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies and consumables
• Assist with documentation of laboratory procedures and accurate data entry
• Support the implementation and adherence to laboratory safety protocols
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of laboratory tests and experiments
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
• Participate in training and stay current with laboratory best practices and procedures

Required Skills and Experience:

• Basic knowledge of laboratory operations and safety practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively while also staying self-motivated
• Capable of learning new techniques, multitasking, maintaining accurate records, and following instructions
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and routine maintenance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated environment

• Must be willing to relocate prior to start date if not currently local
