Lab Tech I
Location: Evansville, IN, 47712
Shift: Nightshift
This position performs various tests, compares product to standard, to ensure the desired product characteristics are achieved before material is released to the customer.
- Performs shift start up and shutdown procedures including determining status of operation from previous shift’s lab technicians, review log book, test sample log and line formula board
- Performs all testing requirements to ensure product specifications are met
- Monitors/evaluates production runs, makes necessary changes to meet target specifications
- Communicates in timely fashion all non-conformances to affected individuals
- Performs finished lot review, creates finished goods blending formula
- Provides timely data entry
- Ensures housekeeping and safety standards are met
- Willing to support customer demand when overtime is necessary

- High school diploma or GED
- Preferably, a minimum of 6 months of experience in a production role
- Must meet the minimum requirements for the pre-screening lab exam
- Successful completion of on-the-job training, with the ability to follow instructions
- Lift up to 80 lbs. at waist level, up to 80 lbs. at floor level, and up to 40 lbs. at elevated level on a rare basis when moving products
- Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks
- Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products
- Stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products
- Reach forward and to the side on an occasional basis when handling products
- Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shift
- Climb steps on an occasional basis
- Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shift
- Climb steps/ladders on an occasional basis
