Lab Technician

We are looking for a skilled Lab Technician to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting medical laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Collection & Processing

Collect blood, urine, tissue, and other biological samples from patients.

Prepare, label, and store specimens correctly for testing.

2. Laboratory Testing & Analysis

Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per doctor’s requests.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.

Ensure accuracy in test results and report findings to doctors.

3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with laboratory regulations.

Dispose of biohazardous waste safely and responsibly.

4. Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide timely reports.

Explain test procedures to patients when necessary.

Assist in training new staff and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).

5. Inventory & Equipment Maintenance

Monitor lab supplies and coordinate stock replenishment.

Perform routine checks and maintenance of lab instruments to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT).

Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab preferred.

Skills

Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and testing methods.

Attention to detail and accuracy in test reporting.

Ability to handle medical equipment and troubleshoot issues.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with shifts aligned to hospital requirements.

May include weekend or emergency on-call duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
