Lab Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION Lab Technician (4825)

Location: East Houston, TX area

Position Summary:

The Lab Technician is responsible for analyzing routine and non-routine samples in the laboratory.

Essential Functions:

• Receive and store samples in appropriate areas

• Prepare glass ware and samples for analysis

• Conduct quality checks on equipment

• Utilize a variety of instrumentation to analyze petroleum samples

• Instrumentation can include but is not limited to ICP, distillations, Karl Fischer, viscosity, FTIR, pour point, etc

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor Degree in a Science discipline

• 0-1 year of industry experience

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have strong attention to detail

• Must be able to multi-task and stay organized

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Type of Assignment:

• Temp - hire

Shift Schedule:

Mon Fri 7:30 am 4 pm

Salary:

$19-$20/hr Based on Experience
