Aloha Green Apothecary is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team to assist in various areas of the laboratory department. The role is a quick learner with a positive attitude, and adapts well to shifting work environments, working in a team setting, performing under close supervision, or operating independently for extended periods of time. The Laboratory Technician is dependable, counting and calculating with accuracy. The role effectively transitions from laborious tasks that require heavy lifting, to a sedentary role, performing monotonous, detailed work.
What you will do:
The Laboratory Technician is an entry-level position and full-time role, responsible for processing basic cannabis extraction, formulation procedures, providing on-site support assembling and packaging products manufactured by the laboratory extraction facility.
Job Duties:
· Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
· Follow all record keeping procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
· Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws
· Expected to run processes and packaging in a professional manner
· Keep the work area clean and sanitized, along with equipment and glassware
· Weigh, assemble, package, seal, and label products
· Visually inspect products/packaging and reporting concerns to management for remediation
· Setup and run post extraction procedures according to established standard operating procedures (e.g.: CO2 extractions, carbon clarification, etc.)
· Monitor low-level passive processes (e.g.: rotary evaporation, vacuum oven purging, etc.)
· Responsible for the formulation of final products (e.g.: tinctures, topicals, concentrates, cartridges, etc.)
· Accurately complete and file all compliance documents associated with product packaging
· Immediately inform management of any system or process discrepancies
· Provide additional support as needed to achieve laboratory production goals
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time (2-3 hour stretches)
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
Compensation & Benefits:
· $18-$24.50/hour (DOE)

What you’ll need:
The Laboratory Technician has a detailed-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and sanitation. You will be expected to have high situational awareness and always prioritize safety in the workplace. You will be expected to carefully follow specific instructions, as well as perform maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation on all laboratory equipment. Prior laboratory experience on a commercial scale is highly desirable, but not required. The Laboratory Technician must be at least 21 years old and possess a vehicle due to facility location.
