Lab Technician (Part-Time), Engineering/Facilities

We are seeking a long-term, detail-oriented, and reliable Part-Time Lab Technician to support daily operations in a semiconductor and electronics laboratory environment. This role involves hands-on lab work including testing electronic components, basic electronic assembly, measurement data collection, and equipment tracking. The Lab Technician will work with test boards, bench equipment, and pre-written test programs while following established procedures and supporting engineering and operations teams. Responsibilities also include basic soldering, calibration tracking, administrative documentation, and maintaining an organized lab workspace. This is a hardware and engineering lab role, not a chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory position.

Part-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 – $23.50 per hour
THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A LAB TECHNICIAN:
Load and unload parts into sockets and boards for testing
Execute pre-written test programs and accurately record results
Collect measurement data using bench equipment
Support sampling activities, including starting sample runs and checking samples after trims
Identify and report run errors
Track and manage inventory of boards and samples
Handle incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure accurate tracking
Perform minor soldering tasks
Track calibration dates for laboratory equipment and document calibration status
Notify lab users when equipment is out of calibration and coordinate transfer to calibration rack
Maintain lab organization, including 5S bench standards and cable management
Perform basic documentation tasks using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Follow established procedures and prioritize accuracy and attention to detail
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a lab or technical environment preferred
Familiarity with electronic components and laboratory equipment
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Basic soldering skills required
QFN or BGA soldering experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
