Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our Family Clinic team. The candidate will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, ensuring accurate reporting of results, and supporting doctors in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities1. Laboratory Testing & Sample Collection
- Collect blood, urine, and other samples following proper procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests as per doctor’s instructions.
- Label and store specimens accurately.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the lab.
2. Equipment & Inventory Management
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Ensure regular calibration and cleanliness of lab instruments.
- Monitor and maintain stock of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Inform management about low stock or equipment issues.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate test reports.
- Enter patient data and test results into laboratory software.
- Maintain proper records (manual and digital).
- Coordinate with doctors regarding urgent or abnormal results.
4. Infection Control & Safety
- Follow biomedical waste disposal guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of lab area.
- Adhere to clinic safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma / DMLT / BSc MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology).
- Valid registration (if required as per state regulations).
- Freshers or experienced candidates may apply.
Skills Required
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and lab software handling).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
