Lab Technologist (Night Shift)

Responsibilities:

§ Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in assigned sections.

§ Ensure correct specimen receipt, identification, processing, testing, and storage.

§ Operate laboratory equipment and analyzers as per SOPs.

§ Validate and report accurate test results.

§ Follow infection control and biosafety protocols.

§ Maintain confidentiality of patient data.

§ Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

§ Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

§ Report equipment malfunctions promptly.

§ Assist in inventory management of reagents and consumables.

§ Maintain laboratory documentation and records.

§ Coordinate with clinicians, nurses, and phlebotomy staff.

§ Assist in training junior staff and students.

§ Maintain professional behavior and teamwork.

§ Attend trainings and competency assessments.

§ Stay updated with laboratory advancements.

Qualification:

Must have:

§ Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Technology (Microbiology / Bio-Chemistry, /Hematology).

§ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
