Labeling Specialist (Cannabis Manufacturing)

Overview

We are a cannabis manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented Labeling Specialist to manage the design, creation, and printing of compliance labels. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet all regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce compliance and variable data labels for cannabis products
• Input and verify variable information such as potency, lot numbers, batch details, and other regulatory requirements
• Ensure all labels comply with New York State cannabis regulations
• Operate and manage label printing processes
• Proofread all label content for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Maintain organized records of label versions and updates
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure timely labeling
• Assist with general operations tasks when labeling/design work is not in progress

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required)
• Strong proofreading and attention-to-detail skills
• Experience working with variable data and regulated labeling preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with cannabis compliance regulations is a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in cannabis, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or other regulated industries
• Experience with label printing systems or production workflows
