Job Summary
Labor Coordinator is a critical role responsible for the efficient coordination of show labor. This position ensures that our productions are expertly staffed with qualified technicians. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, thriving in the dynamic environment of live event production.
Responsibilities:
Crewing & Scheduling:
- Identify, recruit, and schedule freelance and internal technicians for various event production roles (e.g., lighting, rigging, stagehands) based on show requirements and skill sets.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of available technicians, their qualifications, availability, and contact information.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and technical directors to understand labor needs for upcoming projects.
- Generate and distribute crew calls, schedules, and important event information to all assigned personnel.
Onboarding & Compliance:
- Ensure all freelance and temporary staff have completed necessary onboarding paperwork, including contracts, tax forms, and certifications.
- Verify technician qualifications, licenses, and certifications as required for specific roles or venues.
- Communicate company policies, safety guidelines, and site-specific information to all crew members.
Time & Attendance:
- Oversee the collection and verification of crew timesheets and ensure accuracy for payroll processing.
- Address any discrepancies or issues related to crew hours or attendance in a timely manner.
- Logistics & Communication:
- Coordinate travel and accommodation for crew members when required.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for technicians regarding scheduling, logistics, and general inquiries.
- Proactively communicate any changes or updates to project managers and crew members.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
