Laboratories Expert Chemist

AKSA, a company of Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a capacity of 350.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.

We are looking for a Laboratories Expert Chemist who will be reporting to the Laboratory Executive.

Qualities We Are Looking For;

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (preferably with a master's degree, especially in Organic, Analytical or Inorganic Chemistry)
• Preferably with min 5 years of experience in at least one of those areas; training and method development with devices: GC, GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS DSC, TGA, FTIR, ICP, XRF, UV-Vis, NIR - Proficiency in ISO 17025, temperature & metrology systems,
• Has strong theoretical properties in Organic and Analytical Chemistry,
• Polymer textile or material analysis or adaptable,
• Analysis and visualization can be done with tools such as 6 Sigma, Minitab, Power BI, - Analytical method writing, validation, widely active assignments,
• Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Good command of English (reading, writing and technical data communication)
• Strong team work, analytical thinking, problem solving, research, communication and negotiation skills.

Your main tasks are;

• Conversion, adaptation and validation of new analytical methods,
• Obtaining routine and special analyses on raw materials, semi-manufactured and radical products (GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, DSC, TGA etc.),
• Sample recording, pre-treatment applications, data evaluation and result reporting,
• Delivery of specific analyses to customer demands,
• Providing solutions to quality problems that arise in production,
• Preliminary solution of devices, service quest follow-up, external laboratory referral,
• Appropriate laboratory and method analyses for analyses that cannot be performed with the current device system,
• Management evaluation of analysis results and preparation of visual records (Minitab, Excel, Power BI),
• Calibration of quality control devices, maintenance and data flow monitoring,
• In-laboratory documentation, procedure updates and quality systems monitoring,
• Support for product designs and new product analyses.
