Laboratory Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a diagnostic laboratory scientist at our Los Angeles lab. With significant experience in current NGS technologies, we believe we understand the market dynamics to create a more efficient system to deliver care through our physician partners and to our patients by bringing together a team of the best people, using the most sound protocols, and generating the most actionable results. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to perform state-of-the-art preimplantation genetic screening with the aim of contributing to the attainment of healthy babies and happy families.

Principle Responsibilities:

· PGT-A kit preparation (Buffer, kit assembly)

· Shipment of PGT-A kits to referring centers

· Quality Control (Daily Temperature and humidity logs, inventory logs)

· Daily cleaning procedures of laboratory benches and laboratory organization

· Unpacking samples

· Accessioning and filing paperwork electronically

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum B.S. in a chemical, life, (Biology [Cell, Molecular, Development, Genetics]), or clinical lab sciences discipline

· Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization skills

· Self-motivated work ethic with an ability to work both independently and as part of a small team, including above average communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience pipetting small volumes and using multichannel pipettes

· Mastery of aseptic techniques such as those utilized in cell culture

· Familiarity with embryo development, IVF, endocrinology, or pregnancy

The position is full-time, hourly, and available immediately. If the candidate performs well, the position will lead to a full-time position as laboratory technician, at a higher pay rate.
