Performs phlebotomy, processes patient specimens and performs patient registration. Utilizes Laboratory computer system. Prepares specimens to be sent to reference laboratories. Maintains department inventory and operates and maintains equipment. Performs various clerical duties. Adheres to patient identification, laboratory safety, and department policies and procedures. A. Performs various types of LIS/HIS registration on patients and/or specimens per hospital and laboratory policy.

C. Collects and/or assists with collection of patient specimens (to include blood, urine, Autologous blood, etc) in a timely manner, following approved procedure with technical expertise.
