Laboratory Assistant – Microbiology (Chakan-Pune)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant – Microbiologist to join our Metalworking Fluid (MWF) Laboratory. The candidate will support microbiological testing, fluid health monitoring, and R&D work related to metalworking fluids, ensuring products meet performance, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine microbiological analysis of metalworking fluids (MWFs), including bacterial and fungal counts.
• Assist in sample preparation, plating, incubation, and enumeration of microbial colonies.
• Maintain and monitor culture media, reagents, and laboratory consumables.
• Support contamination studies and assist in evaluating biocide performance in fluids.
• Record and maintain accurate test results, data sheets, and lab reports.
• Assist in quality control testing of incoming samples from customers and production batches.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and safety protocols.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, calibration of equipment, and proper sample storage.
• Provide support to R&D scientists in developing new formulations and microbial resistance studies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,700.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
