Laboratory Facilities & Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Laboratory Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our advanced analytical laboratory and production facility.

This role is responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, managing supply orders, coordinating vendors, and ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and general facility repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours
• Support preventative maintenance programs for building and lab systems
• Order supplies and materials from vendors (Airgas, Home Depot, etc.)
• Track inventory and notify leadership of reordering needs
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers
• Manage and organize maintenance-related invoices and billing
• Maintain accurate work order documentation
• Ensure compliance with facility safety standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding (<LOCATION> welding preferred), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of maintenance or facilities experience (commercial or industrial preferred)
• Strong electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skills
• HVAC knowledge (Certification preferred)
• Experience managing vendors and ordering supplies
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
