Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the CAP-CLIA laboratory including accessioning, testing and reporting.
- Ensure that the laboratory meets all applicable safety regulations.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and standards, including CAP, CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
- Supervise laboratory staff and provide guidance and training as needed, assessments of competency and performance evaluations. - Collaborate with HR to resolve any internal or external employee complaints, disputes or other issues. - Ensure each employee has clear direction for daily/weekly/monthly duties. - Maintain laboratory accreditation and licensure, including ensuring timely renewal of all required licenses and accreditations. - Ensure the accuracy and completeness of laboratory procedures, records and reports. - Track and review all incident reports and issues related to compliance within the lab.
- Coordinate and prioritize all laboratory testing and research projects.
- Manage laboratory inventory and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to support research and development initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from laboratory, clinical trials and clinical tests.
- Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing, internal audit, and external inspections. - Help build a culture of high efficiency, quality and performance.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry, medical technology).
- Proven experience in a clinical laboratory, at least 2 years of experience managing laboratory operations, including personnel management and regulatory compliance. - FL Clinical Laboratory Supervisor's license.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Understanding of CAP regulations related to laboratory operations.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management abilities to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
