ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
--- Experiment Planning: Assist in the design and execution of research experiments.
--- Laboratory Work: Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments, prepare samples with adherence to standard operating protocols (SOPs).
--- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, record, and analyze experimental data. Scan and digitize lab notebooks as needed by research staff.
--- Report Writing: Contribute to the preparation of grant applications, reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
--- Clinical Sample Management: Prepare, store, and track clinical samples in compliance with relevant protocols. Coordinate communications between clinical sites and AVM.
--- Animal Work: Perform cage wash functions, monitor animal welfare, and maintain vivarium conditions. Handle animals in accordance with company policies and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) guidelines. Administer drug (PO, IP, IV), collect blood and tissue samples, and perform necropsies as required.
--- Lab Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized laboratory environment, maintain equipment, and manage inventory of laboratory supplies.
--- Literature Research & Additional Duties: Conduct literature review to support ongoing research projects and undertake other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
--- Reliable Transportation: Ability to drive between job sites and/or business errands as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
--- Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
--- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
--- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
--- Experience with animal handling in a laboratory environment.
--- Familiarity with biotechnology processes and procedures, including the handling of human blood and tissue samples.

SHIFT
This is a full-time role which requires Monday-Friday working schedule (40 hours per week).
