Laboratory Technician - Hopkinsville, KY
Responsibilities:
To perform various lab tests on wheat, flour, bran, reddog, midds and germ using a prescribed methodology, and to ensure that a wheat quality product is provided for the customer(s) according to their specifications.
Qualifications:
- Individual must excel in respect, trust, and responsibility, striving for continuous improvement, commitment to excellence.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED, with the ability to read, write and perform mathematics.
- Individual must be able to work independently, able to multitask, basic computer skills and have good communication skills.
- Successful experience in laboratory work in the area of food grade plant is preferred.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions outlined in the laboratory testing manual.
- A quality minded individual who can handle independent working with routine tasks and the ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to be on feet for extended periods.
- Must be able to utilize stairs.
- Additional educational opportunities and training will be provided.
Hours: 9:00pm - 7:00am Monday night - Friday morning, with overtime and weekends as needed.
