Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician - Hopkinsville, KY

Responsibilities:
To perform various lab tests on wheat, flour, bran, reddog, midds and germ using a prescribed methodology, and to ensure that a wheat quality product is provided for the customer(s) according to their specifications.

Qualifications:

Individual must excel in respect, trust, and responsibility, striving for continuous improvement, commitment to excellence.
Must have High School Diploma or GED, with the ability to read, write and perform mathematics.
Individual must be able to work independently, able to multitask, basic computer skills and have good communication skills.
Successful experience in laboratory work in the area of food grade plant is preferred.
Must have the ability to follow instructions outlined in the laboratory testing manual.
A quality minded individual who can handle independent working with routine tasks and the ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to be on feet for extended periods.
Must be able to utilize stairs.
Additional educational opportunities and training will be provided.

Hours: 9:00pm - 7:00am Monday night - Friday morning, with overtime and weekends as needed.
