Job Overview:

Laboratory Technician (botanical focus) is responsible for performing operations of a laboratory, ensuring compliance, quality, safety, and accuracy of testing with a focus on botanical identification through HPTLC, botanical microscopy, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance and Quality:
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (e.g., CLIA).
• Ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
• Participating in proficiency testing programs.
• Botanical Identification:
• Proficiency in HPTLC including
• preparation of samples, mobile phases and derivatization regents.
• Execution of HPTLC methods of analysis.
• Interpretation of HPTLC results.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in operating all laboratory equipment and test methods.
• Interpreting laboratory test results.
• Other Duties:
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Maintaining a safe and eKective laboratory environment

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
• Minimum Bachelor degree in Science Required.
• Some experience in a dietary supplement or food laboratory preferred.
• Prefer ISO 17025 experience.
• Botany or HPTLC experience strongly preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong record-keeping skills.
• Ability to create and follow protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Other
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Must be willing to work in a manufacturing facility and setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
