We are currently looking for an organized, detail oriented and efficient Lab Technician to join our teams!
Dental Sterilization Technician is responsible for keeping dental instruments clean, sanitized, organized, and ready for use throughout the day. They will also manage breakdown of treatment rooms and prepare operative trays.
Job Duties:

Ensures instruments are sterilized when received in sterilization lab.

Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, dental supplies and equipment, and assembles, wraps and sterilizes trays of instruments.

Follows proper Standard Precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.

Monitors biological and chemical solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and dental equipment.

Maintains a clean working environment.

Maintains cleanliness and order of all areas of sterilization.

Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the dental treatment rooms, and in equipment storage areas.

Keeps accurate logs of spore testing.

Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory.

Uses the system to monitor and track instruments through sterilization.

Keeps the CTL apprised of any issues or concerns with equipment, supplies or procedures related to sterilization.

Meets the needs and special requests of the providers regarding dental instruments.

Maintains familiarity with and complies with OSHA standards.

Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the practice’s ability to meet goals and objectives.

Follows the Exposure Control Plans/Blood borne and Airborne Pathogens.

Assists in breakdown of treatment rooms and preparing ALL operative trays.

Assists the DAs in wiping chairs.

Knows how to break down SOAN device.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Knowledge of dental processes and procedures preferred.

Conducting inspections of instruments and sterilization machines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
