Truck Driver (Dump)

In addition to both single axle and tandem style dump trucks, drivers will be required to operate off-road trucks utilized within the limits of the construction site. Dump truck drivers will be responsible for the safe operation and daily inspections of their assigned dump body trucks. These trucks will be utilized for the transportation and depositing of all construction materials associated with a site construction project. Drivers must have the physical ability to control, maintain, transport, and dump all site construction related materials as needed throughout the construction project. All dump truck drivers must understand the limits of their assigned trucks and be capable of operating all necessary levers and controls as needed for their assignment. Safety takes precedence on all Rudzik projects. Truck Drivers must have knowledge of safe operation and driving practices and obey all the rules of the road. Truck Drivers will report directly to their Site Foreman and or Project Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport on site or offsite all loose materials associated with a construction project and or underground utility site work including but not limited to aggregates of all sizes, sand, fill materials, topsoil, asphalt paving materials and demolition debris.
• Maneuver vehicle within a construction site to include backing up with or without a ground guide utilizing all required foot and hand controls as required to turn, tilt, raise and lower the dump bed and deposit dump bed contents where needed.
• Complete daily inspection of their assigned vehicle at the start of each workday.
• Complete all inspection paperwork, daily load, mileage and fuel logs, and all other logs as required to maintain compliance with DOT standards. Report all vehicle deficiencies to the mechanics supervisor.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and orderly at all times.
• Operate a loader, forklift, or skid-steer as necessary to load and or unload a vehicle.
  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B
• Clean Driving Record
• Rudzik Excavating has a 100% Pre-employment drug testing requirement and performs random drug testing during employment.
