Laborer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to read and interpret the Job Travelers.
• Understand most aspects of labor.
• Understand the operation of typical types of labor equipment.
• Able to organize their work area to best suit a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
• Operate labor tools which may include brooms, forklifts, cranes and other equipment.
• Perform shop mathematics associated with labor operations.
• Perform inspection procedures to verify work.
• May use a range of measurement devices as required.
• Capable of performing labor processes typically acquired through 1-2 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Driver’s License
• Computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
• MS Word; MS Excel; MS Power Point; MS Outlook
• Communication skills (Develop written communications requiring grammar skills; Interact with customers on an explanatory basis; interact with groups of people and co-workers; use of telephones, public address system; and oral communication)
• Spelling and Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information)
