Join the JMR Concrete Finishing team as a Laborer/Driver specializing in commercial or residential Concrete Finishing! We prefer to hire candidates with experience in concrete pouring or finishing, but we are willing to train folks who have construction, manufacturing, or other backgrounds involving significant manual labor. We are looking for hard working individuals.
We specifically are looking for a laborer / driver in the Carrollton / Waynesburg / Dellroy general area to pick up crew members and take them to job site and/or our shop.

Duties
- Assist with form building, framing, and setting up concrete molds for various structures including foundations, floors, walls, and sidewalks.
- Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) according to schematics and blueprints to reinforce concrete structures.
- Assist with pouring of concrete.
- Prepare concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing with hand tools and power tools to achieve high-quality results.
- Operate skid-steers, concrete buggies, concrete mixers, saws, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks and handle materials such as rebar, wire, or form materials with proper techniques.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and inspecting work areas regularly for safety compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete forms, layouts, and finishing details.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while adhering to safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Drivers license along with a good driving record required.
- Concrete pouring and/or finishing experience greatly preferred.
- Construction experience is a significant plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of concrete installation techniques, including form building, rebar installation, and concrete pouring/finishing is a major plus, but we will provide training for promising entry level candidates.
- Strong teamwork skills required to work cohesively on crew under the direction of a foreman.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks along with stamina for long hours on-site in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Mechanical knowledge including operation of power tools, skid steers, and heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with attention to detail is a major advantage.
- Ability speak, understand, read, and write in fluent English absolutely required
This role is based out of our Winesburg/Berlin area company shop with daily travel in company vehicles to and from job sites within about an hour of Berlin. Overnight travel is not necessary.
$1.00 per hour wage increase after successful completion of 60-day review.
