Laborer/Groundman

We are a heavy highway construction company that specializes in Asphalt Milling. We cover the state of Ohio. We are a union company. We pay for lodging on the road and pay overtime after 8hrs not 40. There is room for growth with us and we have been in business for over 30 years. We pay 2.00 an hour over prevailing wage plus .20 cents a mile to ride to and from the job site. Also a company matching 401K. Please do not apply if you do not have at least a class B CDL. Overtime after 8hrs daily.

Job Description: Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Safely operating water truck and transporting water for milling machine.

· Responsible for filling milling machine with water and refilling tank when empty.

· Maintains equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventive maintenance and repair tasks such as adjusting, fluid check, replacing minor parts and lubricating equipment.

· Maintaining safe driving practices.

· Assist in controlling the milling machines cutting depth and walking alongside the machine during operation.

· Maintain daily mileage logs.

· Must perform general laborer duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

· Driver’s License

· CDL B (Required)

· Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching and squatting

· Requires lifting up to 50lbs.

· This job requires the individual to have good hand to eye coordination and comply with all industry regulations.

· Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes, overnight work required.
