Are you an accounting professional who thrives at the intersection of financial precision and legal integrity? Asscomat is seeking a dedicated Labour Law Compliance Accountant to join our operations in the industrial powerhouse of Mesaieed, Qatar.
In an era of rapid regulatory evolution, we are looking for a specialist to ensure that our financial commitments to our workforce are as robust as our industrial output. You will be the guardian of our "People Ledger," ensuring every riyal paid aligns with the spirit and letter of Qatar’s Labour Laws.
The Role: Labour Law Compliance Accountant
This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping. You will be responsible for the financial oversight of all employee-related liabilities, serving as the bridge between Finance, HR, and the Ministry of Labour.
Key Responsibilities:
- WPS Management: Oversee the Wage Protection System (WPS) workflow, ensuring 100% accuracy in SIF file generation and timely salary transfers to avoid regulatory blocks.
- End-of-Service (EOS) Calculations: Expertly calculate Gratuity, leave encashment, and repatriation benefits in strict accordance with the Qatar Labour Law.
- Overtime & Allowance Audit: Conduct regular audits of overtime calculations and site allowances to ensure fair and legal compensation for our industrial workforce.
- Provisioning & Accruals: Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts for all employee-related provisions, ensuring the company is always prepared for its long-term liabilities.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare monthly compliance dashboards for senior management and act as the lead point of contact for Ministry of Labour inspections or inquiries.
Who You Are
- The Regulatory Expert: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have an exhaustive understanding of the Qatar Labour Law (Law No. 14 of 2004) and subsequent ministerial decrees.
- The Detail Specialist: 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting or compliance, preferably within the construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors.
- The Systems User: High proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ethical & Objective: You possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee data.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in English is essential. Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a significant advantage given the diverse nature of our Mesaieed-based workforce.
Why Asscomat?
- Critical Impact: Your work ensures the stability and happiness of our most valuable resource—our people.
- Industrial Leadership: Be part of a company that is a key player in Qatar’s industrial and infrastructure landscape.
