Land Research Assistant (Remote – US Land Acquisition)

We are seeking an experienced Land Research Assistant to help identify, research, and evaluate land acquisition opportunities across the United States.

The ideal candidate has experience researching vacant land, zoning requirements, county records, GIS mapping systems, and other due diligence items related to land development and acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Review land listings from Zillow, Realtor.com, LandWatch, Land.com, and similar platforms
• Research parcel information using county GIS and mapping systems
• Verify property boundaries, access, road frontage, and surrounding land uses
• Review floodplain maps, topography, zoning requirements, utilities, well water, and septic requirements
• Research deed restrictions, easements, covenants, and other public records
• Contact county offices and agencies when additional information is required
• Organize findings, reports, and supporting documents in spreadsheets for internal review
• Prepare clear summaries of research findings and recommendations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience researching land opportunities in the United States
• Familiarity with county GIS systems, zoning research, and public records
• Experience reviewing land development requirements and due diligence reports
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with land investors, developers, or real estate acquisition teams
• Knowledge of zoning regulations, land entitlement processes, and development feasibility
• Experience with mapping software and GIS tools
