We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Architect to design, plan, and oversee the development of outdoor spaces for residential, commercial, and public projects. The ideal candidate will combine artistic vision with technical expertise to create functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing landscapes that meet client needs and comply with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and functional landscape designs that integrate natural and built environments harmoniously.
- Produce high-quality drawings, 3D visualizations, and renderings to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and specifications.
- Present design proposals to clients, consultants, and authorities for review and approval.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations, environmental guidelines, and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, irrigation designers, and other consultants during all project stages.
- Provide technical guidance and design clarifications during construction to ensure fidelity to design intent.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Address design-related site issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Select appropriate plant species based on site conditions, aesthetic goals, and maintenance requirements.
- Specify hardscape materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes suitable for local climates and design themes.
- Work with suppliers and nurseries to ensure quality and availability of materials.
- Promote the use of native and drought-tolerant plant species.
- Integrate sustainable drainage, irrigation efficiency, and soil conservation practices.
- Support green certification processes (e.g., LEED, Estidama, or equivalent).
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand design vision, project scope, and functional requirements.
- Prepare and submit design documents for authority approvals and respond to review comments.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain organized records of design submissions, revisions, and approvals.
- Prepare design reports, material schedules, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure all drawings and documents are issued on time and in proper format.
- Prepare concept designs, master plans, and detailed landscape drawings for residential, commercial, and public projects.
- Conduct site analysis to evaluate topography, soil, vegetation, climate, and existing infrastructure.
- Incorporate sustainability principles, environmental conservation, and water-efficient solutions into design proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture (with specialization in Landscape Design).
- Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (preferred for senior roles).
- Minimum 4–7 years of experience in landscape design and implementation.
- Proven experience in urban developments, parks, resorts, public spaces, or infrastructure landscaping.
- Experience in GCC or arid climate landscaping (preferred for Middle East-based roles).
- Strong creativity and spatial design ability.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of irrigation coordination, grading, and planting design principles.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret multidisciplinary drawings and coordinate with civil, structural, and MEP teams.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to design quality.
- Familiarity with environmental sustainability and local authority landscape guidelines.
- Strong time management and project coordination skills.
- Willingness to conduct site visits and work in outdoor conditions as needed.
- Membership or eligibility for professional accreditation (e.g., ASLA, CMLI, or equivalent) is an advantage.
