Landscape Care and Maintenance Technician

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our residential and commercial landscape installations thriving and beautiful.

Position Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician with Troy’s Tropics, you’ll be responsible for the care and upkeep of installed landscape projects. That means focusing on plant health, irrigation, pruning, and full lawncare. We’re plant people, and we take pride in creating and maintaining lush, healthy landscapes full of vibrant foliage and blooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine plant-focused maintenance tasks including trimming, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing.
• Perform detail oriented lawn care for specialty clients. We are not mow and blow guys.
• Inspect and maintain irrigation systems, identifying and repairing minor issues.
• Monitor plant health and diagnose common pest, disease, or nutrient issues.
• Provide recommendations for plant replacements or enhancements when needed.
• Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance on all job sites.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of landscape maintenance experience preferred (but we’re willing to train the right person).
• Knowledge of Florida plants and landscape care is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
