Landscape Construction Bookkeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Landscape Construction Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage all financial record-keeping and accounting functions related to our landscape design and construction projects. Your expertise will ensure accurate financial tracking, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in landscape or construction accounting, proficiency with various accounting software, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate employee payments.
  • Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for project cost control.
  • Perform detailed account analysis, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation tasks to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements, cash flow reports, and other management summaries.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions related to landscape construction projects for audit readiness.
  • Support tax preparation activities by organizing relevant documentation and ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Experience

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within the construction or landscaping industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Experience handling accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management is required.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing systems and tax regulations related to employment taxes is a plus.
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis with precision in a fast-paced environment is necessary.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
