Oberson's Nursery and Landscapes, LLC is a well-established commercial landscaping company serving property managers, general contractors, and institutional clients across the Hamilton and Greater Cincinnati market. We handle everything from large-scale installs and hardscape to ongoing maintenance — and we do it with a crew that takes serious pride in the work.

We're growing, and we need an estimator who can keep up.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're hiring a Landscape Construction Estimator to own the full bid process for commercial landscape construction projects. You'll be the engine behind our proposals — walking sites, doing take-offs, building competitive estimates, and handing off clean budgets to our field teams so projects run the way they were priced.

This isn't a desk-only role. You'll get out in the field, meet clients, and see the work you price actually get built.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Read plans, specs, and RFPs — turn them into detailed, accurate estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subs
• Conduct site walks and pre-bid meetings; document scope and flag risks before the number goes out the door
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Build and submit professional proposals; manage the bid calendar to hit every deadline
• Hand off awarded projects to operations with full budget and scope clarity
• Track job performance vs. estimate; bring those lessons back to future bids
• Maintain pricing tools, unit cost databases, and bid templates in Aspire
• Support change order prep and value engineering when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in landscape construction, site development, or a related commercial trade
• Ability to read and interpret landscape construction drawings, site plans, and spec books
• Strong Excel skills — you build and navigate cost models comfortably
• Experience with estimating or field service management software (Aspire is a plus)
• Clear communicator — you can walk a client or GC through a number with confidence
• Valid driver's license; reliable transportation for local site visits

Nice to Have:

• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or related field
• Experience working in a multi-branch or regional commercial landscape operation
• Knowledge of Southwest Ohio subcontractor market and plant material standards
