Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead crews in the installation of high-end outdoor environments. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in landscape construction, including pavers, turf installation, masonry, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, and carpentry. This role requires a leader who can read plans, coordinate crews, maintain quality and safety standards, and deliver projects efficiently and on schedule.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew of 3–5 workers on residential and commercial landscape construction sites.
- Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and execution of landscape features.
- Installation of hardscape elements including pavers, retaining walls, masonry features, outdoor kitchens, and carpentry structures (e.g., pergolas, decks, fencing).
- Turf installation, irrigation coordination, grading, drainage, and soil preparation.
- Site work including trenching, backfilling, and base preparation for utilities or landscape features.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, site superintendents, and clients to ensure seamless project progress.
- Conduct and document daily safety meetings; ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment and inventory of tools and materials; ensure proper use and upkeep by crew members.
- Train and mentor crew members and apprentices, reinforcing company standards and workmanship quality.
- Perform quality inspections throughout and upon completion of each project, ensuring clean and professional results.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including timecards, material lists, and daily reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape or outdoor construction (pavers, turf, masonry, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, carpentry).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and job site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 75 lbs).
- Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Outdoor work in variable weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
- Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk.
- Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, lift, push and pull materials and equipment to complete job tasks.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
