Landscape Construction Lead

THIS POSITION WILL BE IN-TRAINING WITH CURRENT LEAD FOR 90 DAYS. We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Landscape Construction Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardscaping and outdoor construction, with specific expertise in fencing, pavers, concrete, and retaining walls. As a Lead, you will be responsible for executing high-end outdoor projects while supervising a crew to ensure quality workmanship and efficient project completion.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate landscape construction projects from site prep to finish, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines.
• Perform and oversee technical hardscaping tasks including paver installation (patios, walkways), concrete pouring/finishing, and the construction of structural retaining walls.
• Install various fencing styles (wood, vinyl, chain link) with precision and structural integrity.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to determine grades, measurements, and material requirements.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently; applicants with a 2A/1C Hoisting License are preferred, though not required.
• Train and mentor junior crew members on proper installation techniques and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in the landscape construction or hardscaping industry with a portfolio of completed outdoor projects.
• Proficiency in hardscaping: Deep knowledge of base preparation, drainage, and leveling for pavers and walls.
• Masonry & Concrete skills: Comfortable with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete elements.
• Technical Accuracy: Strong ability to read site plans and use transit levels to ensure proper grading and pitch.
• Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a team and solve problems on-site.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
