Landscape crew lead

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Landscape Crew Lead to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance and landscaping projects. In this role, you will lead a team of crew members, ensuring high-quality work in lawn care, gardening, tree care, irrigation, and general landscape upkeep. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and excellence across all outdoor projects, helping to transform outdoor spaces into vibrant, healthy environments. Duties

• Supervise, guide, and support a team of landscape crew members to complete landscaping, lawn care, horticulture, and general maintenance tasks efficiently and safely
• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
• Perform and oversee landscape installation and construction activities, including planting, grading, sod installation, artificial turf installation, and occasional hardscape projects
• Conduct tree care services such as pruning, trimming, and basic health assessments in accordance with industry and safety standards
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety protocols and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean, organized job site
• Train, mentor, and support crew members in proper landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company expectations and client specifications
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding project updates, needs, and any issues that arise
• Maintain and oversee proper use, care, and storage of tools, equipment, and vehicles

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture roles with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of lawn care, gardening techniques, tree care, irrigation systems, and general landscape construction
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and providing guidance to crew members
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Familiarity with equipment operation including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools
• Prior experience in supervising or managing projects within the landscaping or construction industry is preferred
