We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Landscape Design Assistant to join our team and contribute to our vision of exceptional design and client satisfaction.
Position Summary: The Landscape Design Assistant will provide support to our landscape design team by assisting with design development, project estimating & coordination, client communications, and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for landscape design and construction who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the field and contribute to exciting and diverse projects.
Job Summary and Responsibilities

Produce base maps, designs, materials takeoffs, and proposals.
- Take measurements, site elevations when needed.
- Communicate and take direction from Landscape Designer on daily task prioritization
- Attend meetings when necessary. These may include initial consultations, site walks, presentations, construction progress meetings, and final completion meetings.
- Administrative Support: Maintain organized project files, manage documentation, and assist with preparing reports, invoices, and other administrative tasks.
- Verify scope accuracy by cross-checking drawings, specifications, and addendums before estimating projects.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using digital plans, drawings, and site information for both commercial and residential projects.
- Comply with all Badger State Maintenance processes
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or working toward a degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field – preferred but not required.
- Experience: Previous experience or internships in landscape design, construction or a related field is preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable on the company’s insurance policy.
Skills:
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Realtime Landscape Design/Uvision, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) (preferred but not required)
- Bluebeam (preferred but not required)
- Microsoft Office suite
- LMN CRM software (preferred but not require)
- Understanding of hardiness zone 5b plant materials, landscape design principles, and basic construction methods (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
