Landscape Design Engineer - Architecture

Job Purpose

To develop high-quality landscape architectural designs and technical deliverables that enhance project aesthetics, environmental quality, and functionality. The role ensures design compliance with project requirements, sustainability standards, and client expectations, contributing to Sabbour Consulting’s objective of delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop landscape architectural concepts, detailed designs, and presentation drawings for various project types (residential, commercial, mixed-use, public realm, etc.).
• Prepare technical drawings including hardscape, softscape, levels, planting plans, and sections.
• Support in the preparation of 3D models, renderings, and visualization materials.
• Ensure all landscape designs comply with codes, sustainability guidelines, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, Infrastructure, Planning, Environmental).
• Assist in the development of BOQs, specifications, and design reports.
• Work closely with senior landscape architects to refine designs and resolve technical issues.
• Respond to RFIs, provide support during tendering, and assist during construction review stages.
• Follow internal quality assurance procedures and maintain accurate project documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture with Landscape specialization.
• 2-5 years of experience in landscape architectural design within engineering/consulting firms.
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of planting design, site grading and landscape construction materials.
• Knowledge of local and international landscape codes and sustainability standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
