Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Designer/Project Manager to join our growing team. This individual would have comprehensive knowledge that includes overseeing all aspects of a landscape project from conception to completion, including planning, client communication, team management, and on-site execution. Additionally, this individual would have an understanding of creating plans for outdoor residential spaces.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and present initial concepts, then create final designs using CAD software and other tools.

Analyze existing conditions, including topography, soil type, drainage, and exiting vegetation to inform the design.

Oversee all phases of landscape projects from start to finish including specifying plants, materials, and the layout of hardscape elements like patios and walkways.

Manage and direct landscaping crews ensuring that the work is completed to Ables Landscapes standards.

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project whilst also discussing project goals, vision, and budget.

Develop and manage project budgets, track time and materials, and schedule equipment.

Collaborate with designers, architects, and other vendors to bring the projects vision to life.

Address unexpected challenges and implement solutions.

Utilize knowledge of horticulture, plant hardiness, climate, and construction principles to create functional and sustainable designs.
Qualifications

At least 3 years of professional experience in the landscape industry with a focus on project management or landscape design.

A degree or certification in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related science (preferred).

Proficiency in computer-aided design programs like AutoCAD.

Proven ability to read and interpret detailed landscape architectural drawings and construction documents.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
