Job Title: Landscape Engineer
Reports To: Project Manager or Engineering Department Manager
Job Summary:
The Landscape Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing outdoor spaces such as gardens, parks, green areas, and landscape infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, selecting suitable materials and plants, and supervising construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, environmental standards, and aesthetic requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare conceptual and detailed landscape designs using specialized engineering software.
- Develop BOQs, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
- Supervise on-site landscape works and monitor project progress.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality execution.
- Select appropriate plants and materials based on site conditions and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and propose suitable engineering solutions.
- Review and approve landscape drawings and handle required technical modifications.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
- Prepare periodic technical reports for management.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Practical experience in landscape design and implementation.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, GIS, Lumion, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of plant species and irrigation systems.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability standards.
