About the Role

Petrascape is seeking a highly competent and proactive Landscape Engineer who understands the full spectrum of the landscape industry—from the drawing board to site execution. We are looking for a professional who possesses a true "landscaping mentality": the ability to combine design aesthetics with practical engineering solutions.

You will not just be drafting; you will be taking charge of projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring that what is designed is practical, executable, and approved.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Drafting: Create detailed landscape designs (Hardscape & Softscape) and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Client Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients. Present designs, justify technical decisions, and handle client concerns with authority and professionalism.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage Material Submittals, BOQs, and specifications, ensuring all materials meet project standards and client requirements.
• Problem Solving: Resolve technical issues that arise during the design or approval phase. You must understand "how everything works" on-site to create realistic designs.
• Project Ownership: Take full responsibility for your assigned projects, ensuring timelines are met and quality is maintained.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of hardscape construction, irrigation systems, plant selection (softscape), and lighting. You must understand the engineering behind the aesthetics.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. (SketchUp, Lumion, or other 3D software is a plus).
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client negotiations and documentation.
• Personality: Decisive, organized, and capable of working without constant supervision.
