Key Responsibilities
- Crew Leadership: Direct and motivate a team of 2–4 landscapers, assigning daily tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely project completion.
- Project Execution: Lead hands-on installation of plants, mulch, seasonal color, and minor hardscape elements.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain specialized equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, dump trucks with trailers, tillers, and power tools.
- Site Management: Read and interpret landscape plans and specifications; identify and report property issues such as irrigation or turf stress to management.
- Safety & Training: Train new crew members on proper equipment use and safety protocols; ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Communication: Act as the primary on-site contact for clients and coordinate project needs with supervisors and vendors.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of landscape installation experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, walk for extended periods, and lift 50–80 lbs. regularly.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in plant care, construction techniques, and operating heavy landscape machinery.
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a major plus.
- Experience with irrigation installation and repair is preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
