Landscape Foreman

Duties

• Mobilizing a landscape crew and managing time and materials for each service
• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy turf
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree trimming, mulching, and irrigation system installation or repair
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various landscaping tasks
• Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access and pathways
• Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, leaves, and waste materials

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools effectively
• Ability to safely operate a truck and 20' enclosed trailer on a daily basis
• Experience with lawn care, gardening, and general landscape maintenance techniques
• Familiarity with landscaping principles including horticulture practices
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows confidently
• Knowledge of irrigation systems setup and repair for efficient water management
• Understanding of tree care including trimming, planting, and health assessment
• Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
• Construction experience related to landscape projects is a plus
• Ability to follow safety protocols while operating machinery like excavators or snow plows
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and horticulture
• Commercial Applicator license is a plus
