Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead and manage a crew while overseeing all aspects of job execution. This position is responsible for day-to-day field operations, crew productivity, job preparation, customer communication, quality control, and cost tracking. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and a commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Crew & Operations Management
- Lead and manage a field crew on landscape maintenance, installation, and construction jobs
- Track crew time, productivity, and job performance
- Ensure operations are running efficiently and safely
- Create a positive, motivating, and professional work culture
- Manage tools, equipment, and job site organization
Job Preparation & Execution
- Prepare, organize, and execute jobs from start to completion
- Requisition specialty job materials and supplies
- Schedule required equipment
- Ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards
- Confirm project completion and job quality
Customer Interaction & Sales Support
- Meet with customers on-site to review projects
- Communicate project updates and ensure customer alignment
- Identify and document additional work opportunities
- Collect payments when required
- Ensure customer satisfaction upon job completion
- Request referrals and schedule future services
- Maintain follow-up communication intervals with customers
Financial & Performance Tracking
- Track all job-related costs, expenses, materials, and resources
- Capture actual costs versus projected costs
- Analyze gaps between estimated and actual job performance
- Measure project success against company metrics
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support financial management related to job purchases
Qualifications
- Preferred 3 years of experience managing a crew
- Preferred strong knowledge of:
- Landscape maintenance
- Landscape installation and construction
- Hardscapes and irrigation systems
- Proven ability to track time, productivity, and expenses accurately
- Experience managing tools, equipment, and materials
- Financial responsibility related to job costs and purchasing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Will train a focused proven leader
