Landscape Gardener (Zagreb, Croatia)

Core Responsibilities

• Plant Cultivation: Sowing seeds, propagating cuttings, transplanting, pruning, fertilizing, watering, and general plant care.
• Design & Maintenance: Planning and designing landscapes, gardens, and green spaces; installing plants; mulching; and maintaining ornamental features.
• Pest & Disease Management: Identifying, treating, and preventing pests, diseases, and weeds.
• Research & Development: Conducting tests, breeding new varieties, and analyzing data to improve plant health and yield.
• Technical Support: Providing expert advice on plant selection, care, and environmental conditions to clients or staff.
• Operations: Managing greenhouses, scheduling planting/harvesting, operating equipment (tractors, sprayers), and supervising staff.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of botany, plant biology, and soil science.
• Understanding of plant propagation, pest control, and fertilization.
• Ability to operate relevant machinery and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills for environmental or pest issues.
• Supervisory and communication skills for team and client interaction.
