Landscape & Groundskeeper (Temporary – Full Time)

Job Overview

No Mow Worries Lawn Care & Landscape is seeking four (4) temporary, full-time Landscape and Groundskeepers for employment from April 1, 2026 through December 15, 2026.

This position involves performing landscaping and grounds maintenance services at various job sites throughout Christian, Greene, Lawrence, Stone, Taney, Webster, and Polk Counties, Missouri.

Wage: $18.31 per hour. Overtime rate: $27.47 per hour for all hours worked over forty (40) in a single workweek. Wages are paid bi-weekly by check. All required deductions will be made under the law. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.

Full-time employment at forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work on Saturdays may be required depending on weather conditions or project schedules. Overtime may be offered but is not guaranteed.

Daily transportation to and from job sites will be provided from the employer’s central office in Nixa, Missouri.

Duties

Workers will:

• Mow lawns using push and walk-behind mowers
• Trim grass around trees, flower beds, fences, and buildings using string trimmers
• Edge sidewalks and driveways using powered edgers
• Blow grass clippings and debris from hard surfaces using backpack blowers
• Pull weeds from plant beds by hand
• Spread mulch, topsoil, and compost using shovels and rakes
• Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees using hand tools
• Lay and roll sod by hand
• Prune small trees and shrubs using hand pruners and hedge trimmers
• Water plants using hoses or portable water tanks
• Load and unload plants, sod, mulch, fertilizer, and landscaping tools by hand and with wheelbarrows
• Collect and bag leaves, branches, and yard debris
• Clean and maintain work areas at the end of each workday

Workers will use hand tools and small power equipment including shovels, rakes, hoes, hand pruners, loppers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, push mowers, and walk-behind mowers.

Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• No formal education required
• Minimum of three (3) months prior experience in landscaping and groundskeeping
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

The employer will provide on-the-job training to ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety practices. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided at no cost to the worker.

The employer will assist workers in locating suitable housing by referring them to local rental agencies at no cost. Workers are responsible for securing and paying for housing directly.
