Landscape Installation Crew Leader

Job Description:

Branham Outdoor Services is growing and looking for an experienced Landscape Installation Crew Leader to lead landscape enhancement and installation projects throughout the Columbia area.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on landscape installations, irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage solutions, and hardscape projects. The ideal candidate is someone who can lead a crew, operate equipment, and complete projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a landscape installation crew
• Install trees, shrubs, flowers, mulch, pine straw, and sod
• Install and troubleshoot irrigation systems
• Install low-voltage landscape lighting
• Perform drainage and grading projects
• Assist with hardscape installations including paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and fire pits
• Read work orders and ensure projects are completed to company standards
• Train crew members and maintain productivity on job sites
• Communicate project progress, material needs, and job updates to management
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Previous landscape installation experience required
• Previous crew leader or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience installing:

◦ Trees, shrubs, flowers, and sod

◦ Mulch and pine straw

◦ Irrigation systems

◦ Landscape lighting

◦ Drainage systems

◦ Hardscape features (pavers, retaining walls, walkways, steps, fire pits)

• Ability to operate:

◦ Skid steers

◦ Mini excavators

◦ Trenchers

◦ Other landscape construction equipment

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a crew
• Ability to read plans and layouts
• Experience estimating materials and project needs
• Knowledge of irrigation troubleshooting and repairs
